Join us at tthe 4th workshop on XR (Extended Reality) technologies and their significant impact on museums with the forefront of innovations. This dedicated workshop, part of the IEEE AIxVR2025, is designed for professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts eager to explore how XR is redefining visitor engagement and enhancing educational experiences. Dive into the latest advancements in virtual, augmented, and mixed reality applications tailored for museum settings, and discover how these cutting-edge technologies are reshaping the cultural landscape.
Museums have long been captivating spaces where individuals can engage with a variety of exhibits, displays, samples, and specialized devices. While modern smartphones, PCs, and game consoles offer powerful experiences, there remains a distinct difference between everyday technology and the immersive environments found in museums equipped with purpose-built devices. Our workshop aims to highlight a diverse array of exceptional designs, implementations, experimental results, and case studies. We invite submissions that explore how XR, AR, VR, MR, and related technologies can enhance visitor experiences in museums.
Additionally, we recognize that artwork is central to the museum experience, and we support the development of art that integrates AI and XR technologies. Therefore, we encourage submissions that focus on artistic endeavors within this context.
